If you would like to submit an abstract for the forthcoming event, you can do so by creating a user account at the conference website at: http://6nordic.sbi.dk/index.php/SBI/6nordic. Please observe that the deadline for submission of abstracts now has been extended to 1 July 2010. Abstracts of max. 300 words should be submitted online via the conference management website before this date. We have not yet opened for registration, however, this option will be available in due time.
About the conference - Organizing and Scientific Committees The 6th Nordic Conference on Construction Economics and Organisation is hosted by the Danish Building Research Institute, Aalborg University, and will be held on Wednesday 13 - Friday 15 April 2011 at the Conference Centre of the Danish Society of Engineers (IDA) in Copenhagen, Denmark. Collaborators for the 6th Nordic Conference are the Danish Building Research Institute, Aalborg University, Chalmers University of Technology, Lund University, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. Further, we are pleased to announce that our board of Scientific Committee members is continuously expanding and will consist of a number of international capacities who will ensure a high academic standard of published papers. Conference Themes Under the title "Shaping the construction/society nexus" contributions are invited that explore and theorise on the implications of the new challenges facing the fields of construction practice, politics and theory under changing societal conditions. Topics include, but are not limited to: – Transforming practices of construction: rethinking roles and responsibilities. – Consuming constructions: user-oriented design methodologies. – The co-construction of users and producers: clients and users as drivers of innovation. – Construction in society: gluing sector governance and project practices together. – Challenging theories: the role of research under changing societal conditions. Post-graduate day In conjunction with the conference, a post-graduate day will be held on Tuesday 12 April. Post-graduate students are invited to participate in a workshop addressing issues of methodology and scientific publishing.
